Loser-in-Chief™

New York Times columnist Roger Cohen paints a bleak picture of the long, tortuous road to 2024… I fear much of the nation, (the so-called “flyover zone”), has completely lost touch with reality!

Washington Post columnist Greg Sargent called out White House Chief of Staff John Kelly for his specious defense of his master’s, er, uh, I mean, his employer’s tirade earlier in the week… Meanwhile the silly, two-thumbed ape raging in the Oval Office continues to wreak indiscriminate havoc, (pretty much as he has every single day since November 8th), spewing even more online bile in all directions.

When is America going to wake up?

P.S. According to a Newsweek article published Saturday, the Loser-in-Chief’s™ approval rating sank to an all time low. Gallup reports a 35% approval rating and a 60% disapproval rating. Fully 1/3 of those polled think the draft-dodging, bankruptcy-filing, twice-divorced narcissist from Queens is doing a good job, while nearly 2/3 of those polled are ready for a change – and this is after only 10 months in office – yikes!

Trump “Dicked”-rine…

The title of this post is a reference to a now two-day-old Thomas L. Friedman opinion piece from the New York Times, titled “The Trump Doctrine”, wherein Mr. Friedman characterizes said philosophy as:

Obama built it. I broke it. You fix it.

with the “You” referencing Congress.

Yup, this clown – and to avoid any misunderstanding here – I am referring to the president*, not Friedman – can’t manage to emote the tiniest smidgen of empathy, even when communicating with family members of fallen soldiers. Case in point, deciding it was entirely acceptable to utter the following phrase during a telephone call with the widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, killed on October 4th in Niger:

…he knew what he signed up for.

Are you sh*tting me? Really?! Trump has proven – once again – what a complete sh*tbag he is.

Happily, Trump’s ethically-compromised FDA chief withdrew his name from further consideration.

…and yes, Congress is desperately trying to cobble together legislation to salvage ACA subsidies, while the Cheeto-in-Chief™ continues to lob verbal grenades in pretty much every direction…

Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank laments the dysfunctional souffle the White House continues to serve up, saying:

How long can this White House continue to serve slop before we accept that the chef is mad?

Meanwhile, the judiciary continues to inject a healthy dose of reality into the ongoing battle with the White House over the third attempt to enact a so-called “Muslim ban”.

I’ll close with a reference to a brief, but illuminating, opinion piece by David Ignatius featured in Tuesday’s Washington Post. He closes with the following line:

Trump likes creating chaos.

Yeah, he’s just a sad, twitchy little jerk who likes to dick people around…

Moron-in-Chief™

Sigh, the Idiot-in-Chief™ decided to attempt to gut the ACA on Thursday…

Margot Sanger-Katz expressed doubts in her New York Times opinion piece on Friday about how successful this misguided attempt will actually be, while fellow columnist Timothy Egan laments the gutting of environmental protections by the very agency responsible for preserving – and arguably expanding – those protections!

…and lest we forget, a non-trivial portion of the nation continues to fret over the Bigot-in-Chief’s™ threats to withdraw relief from Puerto Rico!

Does this guy hate brown people, or what?

Anybody picked up on the Wall Street Journal’s shifting editorial bias back toward becoming the bastion of conservatism it once was? Yeah, pretty sad – on Thursday, columnist Peggy Noonan penned a self-congratulatory note claiming to have called out the Republican’s deal with the devil way back in March. I’m still trying to parse Daniel Henninger’s October 11th blather intimating we might see the Moron-in-Chief™ magically transform, (from an oratorical perspective), into James Madison.

…maybe. …someday.

James Hohmann nailed it in Friday’s Washington Post feature the Daily 202 by saying the Bomb-Lobber-in-Chief™ now owns the ACA. It’s his mess now!

Michael Gerson warns Republicans about the risks of their continued silence, off-the-record whispers, snickering in shadows, etc., etc. Simply stated, the Moron-in-Chief™ has to go.

Greg Sargent offers his thoughts on why Thursday’s political theater at the White House will hurt Republicans much more than Democrats.

…and Patrick Martin hastened to remind the nation that while the Moron-in-Chief™ whines about professional athletes “disrespecting the flag”, he blithely joked about a flag-related ceremony repeated every day at U.S. military installations, globally. Sad.

The Hag – Part Deux

Thou shalt not counterpunch the counterpuncher.

Is the opening statement of Aaron Blake’s October 10th opinion piece found in the Washington Post…

Yeah, apparently it ain’t cool to be critical of the temporary occupants in the White House, including The Hag.

…he’s called a goon, a thug, mentally ill…

Yup, extracted that right out of Blake’s article – guess what – it’s attributed to none other than The Hag herself! …seems it’s frowned upon to refer to the president* as a goon, a thug or, God forbid, to imply the Idiot-in-Chief™ might suffer from any form of psychological instability, (which he most assuredly does).

…bump and whine.

I don’t know if you’re as dismayed as I am by the hypocritical bullsh*t emanating from the pie holes of various and sundry members of Congress since Sunday’s horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas, but I suspect this is all we’re going to get – more meaningless platitudes, more carefully qualified, more incredibly sterile – statements crafted to appease the sheep, er, uh, I meant electorate, whilst not upsetting the gun-toting nut-jobs, (a.k.a. the NRA), lurking in the shadows…

Too many guns, too few courageous citizens; even fewer courageous legislators… :-(

It’s time to make guns the moral equivalent of cigarettes – a stupid choice for people with limited intelligence – to hold those who have manufactured, (and continue to manufacture), these terrible devices fully accountable for damage inflicted here in the United States!
