…[I’ll] take the twenty-fifth…

Damn, ole’ Whacko-in-Chief™ bouncing off the walls? I hope they’re padded! :-)

For today’s post, I decided to source material exclusively from The Guardian, which, on Wednesday, was responsible for publishing initial excerpts from Michael Wolff’s unflattering examination, (called “Fire and Fury”), of Trump’s first year in office. Sad.

Before delving into the juicy quotes, (and boy, howdy, are there a lot of them), I’ll cut to the chase – simply stated, the president* is mentally ill and needs to be removed from office. Now.

…the debate rages – Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution or the 25th Amendment to the Constitution – which will it be? My bet? General unfitness for office. Let’s face it, you’ve got a better chance of prevailing with sixteen people than with sixty-seven, OK?

Yeah, a math riddle right here smack dab in the middle of my post – you figure it out!

Sure, they’re all spineless sycophants, but if you’re willing to take even a smidgen of what’s found in Wolff’s book at face value, it sounds like the vast majority of Trump’s Cabinet are ready, able, and willing to show this clown the door, and that’s why I’m throwing in with the twenty-fifth!

“He’s not only crazy, he’s stupid.” Attributed to Thomas Barrack Jr.

“[Wolff]…lifts the lid on a White House lurching from crisis to crisis…”

“What a f*cking idiot.” Attributed to Rupert Murdoch.

“…but he will grow worse.” Uh, yeah, he will.

“…he remains in place only thanks to the willing connivance of his Republican enablers.” Bring on the mid-term elections!

“…a person of Trump’s impairments, in the office of the presidency, is a danger to us all.” True, ‘dat!

“…a person who feels the need to claim he is “a very stable genius” is no such thing.” ‘nuf said. I’m out.

Prescient? You decide. I produced the top poster last May, the middle poster a few days later and the bottom poster in November. Enjoy!

All buttoned up…

Great, two idiots sabre-rattling about the size of their “nuclear buttons”, sigh… :-(

This weeks’ sobering recap from the New York Times of the childish back-and-forth between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump is definitely worth a read.

Jeez, I wonder if John F. Kelly will attempt to slip one of these onto Trump’s desk?

Heck, based on excerpts from Michael Wolff’s book, “Fire and Fury”, I wouldn’t be surprised if several White House staffers give this method a try! …better than nuclear annihilation, right? And I’m not the only one who thinks this might work. On Thursday, New York Times columnist, Michelle Goldberg, points out:

…the book confirms what is already widely understood — not just that Trump is entirely unfit for the presidency, but that everyone around him knows it.

Yup, we’ve got a mentally ill president* who’s edging ever-closer to a total breakdown and the babysitters at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue aren’t exactly doin’ their job, are they? Sad.

And yet these people continue to either prop up or defend this sick travesty of a presidency.

When the Whacko-in-Chief™ is impeached, (and it’s not if, but strictly when), all of his enablers should be incarcerated as well.

Happy “Screw You!” Year

Uh, welcome to 2018, I guess…

First, from today’s Washington Post Daily 202 section, a truly demoralizing summation of the Trump administration’s slimy approach to rolling back crucial regulations, relaxing restrictions and generally making America sh*tty again…

That’s not – I repeat not – a top ten list I wanted to kick the new year off reading!

Second, we learn the Deceiver-in-Chief™ has lied some 1,950 times in 347 days, averaging 5.6 false statements every single day! At this rate, he’ll eclipse 2,000 lies well before his 365th day in office. Sad.

Update: According to the Washington Post, the Deceiver-in-Chief™ hit the 2,000 lie milestone with 10 days to spare. Sad.

Yes, Virginia, there was collusion!

On Saturday, the New York Times published an intriguing story titled “How the Russia Inquiry Began: A Campaign Aide, Drinks and Talk of Political Dirt”, which chronicles the foibles of one George Papadopoulos back in 2016:

…previously undisclosed documents show that Mr. Papadopoulos played a critical role in this drama and reveal a Russian operation that was more aggressive and widespread than previously known.

Elsewhere in the Times, we read about Republican sycophants making specious claims meant to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the ongoing investigation into said collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. The article opens with:

A growing campaign by President Trump’s most ardent supporters to discredit the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, and the law enforcement agencies assisting his investigation is opening new fissures in the Republican Party, with some lawmakers questioning the damage being done to federal law enforcement and to a political party that has long championed law and order.

The Washington Post cataloged two dozen lies during the Slacker-in-Chief’s™ impromptu interview on Thursday with New York Times reporter, Michael S. Schmidt. The word “collusion” was used by Trump himself 16 – yes, sixteen – times, with no apparent prompting from Schmidt.

…and with Christmas barely behind us, I couldn’t help but reflect on other historic examples of adults going to ridiculous lengths to indulge a [man] child’s fantasy…
