Scotty goin’ bye, bye…

Wow, it only took 13 separate investigations to convince Mr. Pruitt it was probably time to head for the door… What a nastly, little swamp monster this f*cking guy was, huh?

According to The Washington Post:

On Thursday, the White House informed Pruitt, who was not in the office, that he had to submit his resignation, according to two individuals who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. President Trump did not speak to the administrator directly, according to a third individual, but instead called Pruitt’s top deputy, Andrew Wheeler, to inform him that he would be taking the helm of the agency.

According to The New York Times:

And so Mr. Pruitt heads for the door, leaving behind a dark, oily stain on the office that he has spent the past year and a half vigorously defiling.

According to The Guardian:

Pruitt also infused several references to God while lavishing praise on the president.

Claiming it was God’s will he was tapped to serve. Really??? What an idiot! Go back to Oklahoma and fade into obscurity, you worthless piece of sh*t.

According to The New Yorker in a profile from April:

One of the engineers said that it might take a while to “rebuild capacity” after Pruitt. But it would be done. The public, he reminded everyone, “is expecting us to protect the planet.” He said, “Pruitt is a temporary interloper. We are the real agency.”

True ‘dat, and apparently said interloping is now, in fact, over!

Of course, Mr. Pruitt is just as feckless as the next cabinet member, flip-floppin’ like a dyin’ fishy in one of those tainted lakes he cares so little about, having previously expressed concerns about how now former boss, (again, The New Yorker):

…he said of Trump, “He has tendencies that we see in emerging countries around the world, where he goes to the disaffected, those individuals, and says, ‘Look, you give me power and I will give voice to your concerns.’ And that’s a dangerous place to be.” Trump, he added, would be “more abusive to the Constitution than Barack Obama.”

Even the bastion of unbridled capitalism, The Wall Street Journal, begrudgingly printed:

Scott Pruitt, the embattled administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, resigned Thursday after allegations of ethical lapses and improper spending…

going on to say:

Earlier this week, a former staffer said Mr. Pruitt and his staff omitted, altered or removed from his official calendar potentially controversial meetings and phone calls, some with industry executives. Such changes could be considered an illegal falsification of government records.

I really do hope this tacky grifter ends up serving jail time – c’mon Mr. Mueller, go after all of ’em!
