The Republicans have been here before, feigning enthusiasm for what amounts to systemic cynicism which turns out to be unpopular, by any measure, particularly among citizens with an IQ above 80!

Will Democrats prevail in 2010? Geez… I’m not sure we’ll all be around to find out!

Well, that was a week ago – now Mick Mulvaney has hastily withdrawn that particular olive branch, despite continued prognostications the Republicans are oh so achingly desperate for a ‘win’, and despite the simple fact the government deficit will go up by over $1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!
