…just plane stupid!

Tom Price submitted his resignation as Secretary of Health and Human Services on Friday over rising outrage of his abuse of charter flights, (with some estimates of the costs creeping into the hundreds of thousands of dollars).

While Steven Mnuchin’s travel-related demands/requests were arguably the first in a string of the administration’s flight-related foibles, it was Price’s flagrant waste which resulted in – what I hope – will be series of high-profile resignations and/or dismissals.

Apparently, there are investigations underway targeting:

Steven Mnuchin
Tom Price …well, this one’s out!
Scott Pruitt
Ryan Zinke

To be clear, the noisy chatter about who’s spending what to go where distracts from what really matters right now – the administration’s tiny, weak, flaccid, impotent response to the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Puerto Rico.

The president* would rather engage in online bickering with duly-elected officials in Puerto Rico about the quality of aid making its way to this beleaguered island, (having been ravaged by Hurricane Maria a little over a week ago), than bring the full force and power of the United States government to bear on the terrible situation in Puerto Rico.

This ridiculous response to the growing humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico is yet another example of the gross dereliction of duty being committed day in and day out by the Idiot-in-Chief™ hiding in the White House. Impeach immediately!
