First, a brief excerpt from FBI director James B. Comey’s statement, delivered during a press briefing on July 5th, 2016 at the FBI’s headquarters in Washington, DC:
“…there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”
The ‘they’ Director Comey refers to is the presumed Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary R. Clinton, and an unnamed number of her former U.S. Department of State colleagues.
…and while the political theater continues to play out before our bleary eyes, (and weary ears), I wonder whether or not the ramifications of such an unquestionably ham-handed directive, (read “Hey, I want a separately-managed email address [and server]!”), and the equally inept response, (read “OK, here’s your separately-managed email address [and server], ma’am!”), are truly understood by either a) the requesting party, or b) the American public.
…but then again, when one believes in a “vast right-wing conspiracy”, as Mrs. Clinton apparently does, one should take precautions, shouldn’t one?
A word of advice – leave the administration of complex computing systems, (and a properly-managed SMTP-enabled host certainly qualifies as such), to the IT professionals hired by the State Department, not some clueless underling, OK?
Shame on you, Hillary. Shame on you.
This carelessly-conceived attempt at obfuscation deserves a >:\ >:\ >:\ rating.
